‘Reasonable basis’ to believe crime against humanity committed in Philippines crackdown, say judges
The international criminal court has authorised a full investigation into the Philippine president’s “war on drugs”, saying it resembled an illegitimate and systematic attack on civilians.
Judges said there was a “reasonable basis” to believe that the crime against humanity of murder had been committed in the crackdown, which has killed as many as tens of thousands of people.
