Indigenous people infected with Covid Delta strain at twice the rate of other Australians

More than 4,500 Indigenous Australians were infected with coronavirus and 10 died in the latest outbreak

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have been infected at twice the rate of non-Indigenous Australians during the country’s deadly third coronavirus wave, a senior Indigenous health leader says.

National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation chief executive Pat Turner made the revelation during a Senate hearing on Thursday.
